RiffPost is a weekly newsletter that is not about the internet, downtown New York, lit scenes, artificial intelligence, San Francisco, liberalism, the abundance movement, wellness, dark wellness, the Hamptons, gifts, business, finance, men’s style, what you should buy, what celebrities are buying, “taste,” design, recommendations, or advice.

It is written by me, Nick Catucci, a former editor at GQ, The Atlantic, New York magazine, Billboard, and Rolling Stone. I was once a critic who reviewed Is This It by The Strokes (The Village Voice), Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World (Spin), Franz Ferdinand’s debut (Blender), Bangerz by Miley Cyrus (Entertainment Weekly), and Lover by Taylor Swift (Rolling Stone), as well as Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman, The Martian by Andy Weir, and a reissue of A Crack-Up at the Race Riots by Harmony Korine (Bookforum). I’ve also profiled Animal Collective, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and John Mayer. More recently, I have written about the golden age of dad rock in GQ and whether music criticism will survive for Embedded, the newsletter I co-founded with Kate Lindsay.

RiffPost, however, is not about music or media. It is about elder millennialhood: friendship, marriage, renting not owning, having young children (but not “parenting”), reading, and writing.
